에픽하이와 플래닛쉬버의 앨범이 나왔을때, 그 앨범이 아이튠즈 일렉트로닉 부분의 4위까지 오르는 일이 발생해서 이슈가 되었었다. 그때 1위인 앨범이 바로 owl city의 Ocean Eyes앨범이 이었다.
미리듣기를 하는순간 이 앨범을 안살수가 없었다. 그때당시 한국에는 발매가 되지 않은 상태였었는데, 한국에 나오자마자 앨범이 모두 팔려버렸다.
그래서 조금 더 기다려 힘들게 앨범을 구입할 수 있었다. 그리고 빌보드차트 1위까지하는 기록을 세웠다.

owl city는 2007년에 만들어진 프로젝트 팀이다. 처음에는 지하실에서 음악을 만들기 시작하여 마이스페이스를 통해서 유명해지기 시작하다가, "Hello Seattle"이라는 노래로 많은 인지도를 상승시킨다. 그리고 이번앨범으로 빌보드차트에 당당히 1위를 하게 되었다.
owl city in 2007 created a project team. At first started making music in the basement I was starting to become famous through MySpace. "Hello Seattle" as the song increased wareness helps a lot. And on the Billboard album chart, became the best.
owl city의 음악은 지금까지 들어보지 못했던 신선한 음악이다. 일렉트로닉 기반으로 상큼하고 신선한 느낌의 사운드를 사용하지만 보컬의 목소리는 매우 감미롭다. 그래서 일렉트로닉이지만 감성적인 느낌이나서 색다르다.

이 앨범은 이런 owl city의 색과 느낌을 잘 표현한거 같다. 자켓 사진부터가 앨범과 너무 잘 어울린다.
